PETALING JAYA: The body of a man who drowned at Taman Tasik Cyberjaya was successfully recovered by the Fire and Rescue Department at around 10.35am on Friday (April 2).
“The body’s identity has yet to be determined, and it has been handed over to the police,” said Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Hafisham Mohd Noor.
He added in a statement that the victim was reported to have drowned on Thursday (April 1).
“The victim was found by divers at a depth of 6.5 metres around 20 metres from the bank of the lake, ” said Hafisham.
Witnesses told the department then that they had seen a man trying to stay afloat in the middle of the lake before sinking below.
